Spencil: The First Interior Design Service For Businesses

by Waterfront Lab

This startup is changing how you design your business. Spencil, an online interior design service based in San Francisco just launched their online platform enabling any businesses to design or redesign their interior space 100% online. Given the age of Covid, this type of service offering is now more important than ever before.

Spencil was launched in response to the rising demand of businesses looking to make a comeback in 2022. At the start of the new year, many businesses are looking to re-open and reinvent themselves. Unfortunately, interior design services tend to be expensive and require in-person meetings to survey the space.

Spencil plans to completely change the game by introducing a 100% online self-serve platform that lets prospective businesses work with a team of designers remotely to design their space. Working with a remote team has its pros and cons. Being contactless, it’s a safe and secure way to still get a much needed service rendered. The downside is the lack of in-person connection.

Usually interior designers would need to survey the space to fully understand the business

The startup launched November of 2021 and so far have gained traction online. They’re not the first companies to offer this form of design service.

Modsy, founded in 2015, also offer a similar service. However, they’re catered more to general consumers instead of businesses.

Other notable companies are Collov, Space Joy, and Havenly.
